Some Clarifications on work order completion times.
We realize that the many different situations that arise between the time that an order is placed and the time that it is finished often add uncertainty to the projected completion date of the order. We want to eliminate this uncertainty. With this purpose in view, the following is submitted for your information:
* On repeat art, we try to accomplish a five business day turn time on embroidery.
* On new art, we try to accomplish a six to eight business day turn time on embroidery.
Many things can interfere with this endeavor. Below are some various scenarios that change the normal five-day cycle.
Normal Orders
If for some reason the order is not ready to run by the third day of the five-day cycle, the completion date is extended three working days from the time the order is ready for production.
Some reasons the order may not be ready to run by the third day are:
a. All the goods have not arrived.
b. Artwork has not been received.
c. Approval on the artwork, design, color, etc., is not obtained by the third day.
d. A change to the order was made on or after the third day.
If an order is ready to run by the third day of the five-day cycle, we will try to have it completed by the fifth day.
But. . .
If an addition, change, or substitution of garments is made to this order after the third day:
a. The completion date for the entire order is extended by three working days.
Or. . .
b. The addition, change, or substitution of garments will be made a new order with a five-day turn time.
A completed order cannot be changed, added to, taken from, substituted or amended.
Any desired change that substitutes or adds to a completed order must be a new order.
Orders that are awaiting goods
If the goods have not arrived by the third day of the five-day cycle, a three-day extension is given to the order. This
extension begins the day after the last of the goods arrive.
With the exception of a rush order, no order can be expected to run on the day the final goods arrive.
Rush Orders
Rush orders will be run as soon as they are ready to run, but only after:
a. Any other orders that are presently being run, and after
b. Any other prescheduled rush orders.
Any change made to a rush order will be worked into the rush order if possible. If the order has already run, the change
will itself become a new order. In absence of any instruction, and, if we cannot contact the account representative, we
will run the change as a new rush order.
